Needing to Smooth Out the War Path …let’s bury the tomahawk.

Love, A Many-Splendored Thing
NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — Recently, I experienced a fine example of male-female communications. UPDATE: There are two sides to every story. The following is only my side of the story. Someone reminded me of such. Thus, I make this note and correction here. Also, I must note here that there was a third party and witness to the following. Now to continue, on September 1, I listened to a young lady happily talk about her lovely day. I was receptive with fairly, undivided attention. Finally, God forbid, I had a single, 5-word sentence to say; and was not allowed a few seconds to say it. Then, after I kept repeating the sentence over-and-over ad nauseam to get it heard in the conversation, the young lady narrowly focused in; but misinterpreted the 5 words I was trying to say. A heated exchange ensued in which I almost accidentally drove off the side of the cliff on the highway. I am sorry, but sometimes allow me only a few seconds to say 5 words w/o talking over me. Then, I will shut up again for the next 7 hours. I had promised myself to be a good boy on Sunday, but I had only 5 words that I needed to get in edgewise; and was never given the few uninterrupted seconds I needed. This is a pet peeve of mine: at least give me ONE turn in a conversation.
P.S. There are actually no cliffs in southeastern Louisiana :). Sorry! I meant that I drove up the wrong ramp on the highway, and almost got killed. I used cliff to be brief and to emphasize the danger.
A Favorite Vacation Locale
Lockheed used to fly me into FLA to Cape Kennedy to work on the Shuttle.
@Tim Daniels >>I realized today that this is my 1st time in Florida since I retired. One of my favorite things about working at Lockheed was going to Cape Kennedy. I must have been vacationing in other spots and forgot about how much I like Florida.
P.S. @Tim Daniels >>I took more pics that I want you to see. I will post more today or Saturday… There is plenty “wild game” lying out here on the beach with their “toes” all out. Some of ’em have more than just their “toes” out. haha …I won’t show you those kinds of “feet” pictures. By the way, the wildest animal out here right now is ME!!!
Now that I am a truly wholesome guy I only look at the ladies’ feet. I do not allow my eyes to travel any higher than that because …well, let’s just say that I do not want people to think that I am an animal. If my eyes do wander any higher than that in the next few days, I will try to keep my mind as pure as “the driven snow.”
Another pic from my #Florida #vacation: pic.twitter.com/8va7oHH2AS
Plus, by the way, Hurricane Andrea crossed Florida as I vacationed to the west. I was beaching more westerly, and did not feel any effects of the Hurricane. It was beautiful where I am.

My Dreams of #SanaaLathan
NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — If actress Sanaa Lathan would stand straight up and walk right off of this page into my arms I would fall to pieces. Yes, I’d be all shook up. You never know when my door bell or my phone might ring. I do not say that I’d drink her bath water b/c I never could understand that. But, I’d blankity, blankity, blank her. Of course, I cannot say what I’d do to/with her because I do not kiss-and-tell. ONE DAY!! Yes, one day I might get that call or that knock at the door. Don’t they always tell you to DREAM BIG?

Thou Doth Flatter Thyself
NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — My reported, reputed and conjectured romantic demise has been much exaggerated and ballyhooed. I find it necessary to clarify my vaunted standing with respect to the passage of time as it is related to my “romantical” prowess.
So, Ferdie Werdie shared a link from near New Orleans:
Yes, I appreciated someone noticing my dilemma and giving me support. 7 Apr Need our offspring say, “Dad, you have to learn to grow old with dignity?” (via @ferdiewerdie) http://wp.me/p1u4ud-cJ
This was my my reply to @gwbrownell’s retweet:
George Brownell@gwbrownell 7 Apr also tweeted the picture above and thanked the the young lady who posted the picture.: “Good question, Diane.” … ( Thanks, Diane Carlysle ) pic.twitter.com/LuZwef4J2G
Live in da Hive vs. Miami Heat
The fine Jennifer Hale @JenHale504 on 25 March tweeted:
Hornets upset the Nuggets 110-86 with 7 Nola players in double digits. Next up: Clippers & Heat.

My Reply to @JenHale504:
Ferdie Werdie @ferdiewerdie tweeted,
@JenHale504 >>We couldn’t do it. #Clippers prevailed. #TGIF & let’s beat da #Heat as #Hornets are again live in da hive. Jennifer, I just have to say to you right here: Geaux, You Fine Thang …You are totally gorgeous; and you make me shake like a leaf every time you do an interview on TV. Like Elvis said, “I’M ALL SHOOK UP!!”
Fine Interviews: Jennifer Hale
NEW ORLEANS (by Ferdie) — I recently replied with a tweet to lovely Jennifer Hale, the gorgeous sandy-haired courtside reporter for the Hornets, about the Hornets’ fortunes. In the photo above she is showing her lovely smile. On Monday, March 25, I absolutely enjoyed watching the Hornets break the Denver Nuggets’ 15-game winning streak. The Bees scored the victory even without 1st-string play-makers Eric Gordan & Greivis Vasquez who were injured. It was an exciting game! I just had to put my two-cents in Re: Jennifer’s tweet. Between the action on the court and Jennifer’s fine interviews, I had a fun time. Subsequently, the high-flying Los Angeles Clippers dared to come to the Big Easy on Wednesday, March 27, and bury their foot in the Hornets’ buttockle area. TONIGHT in the hive: The Heat! The Heat! The Miami Heat! YES, I’M STUTTERING!
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Brian Roberts (back-up point guard for Greivis Vasquez) on Monday could not himself believe the outstanding performance which he delivered to help end Denver’s 15-game win streak.
