The Hail Mary

GAZETTE (October 28, 2024) — I am praying for a smooth and peaceful Presidential election on November 5.  America does not need another insurrection like in 2020, lasting until even now. The election-steal insurrection and lies are a stain upon the legacy of America. Plus, it is criminal.

Many people prayed on Sept. 11 for intercession to the ears of God during Hurricane Francine in Louisiana. Also, we pray for the victims of Hurricane Helene in Florida along the East Coast. “Sancta Marie (Holy Mary), pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen! ” — Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee!

In the picture below, I am saying a Hail Mary (Marie in French) for intercessory prayer, including: intercessory prayers for me of praise and thanksgiving. “I thank you, Abba Father. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works; and of that, my soul knows full well.” I am reminded of when quarterback Roger Staubach prayed a Hail Mary for what became known as the famous Hail Mary pass to defeat Minnesota with a long bomb in the last minutes of their playoff game in the ’70’s.

Mary is Marie in French!
In France, Marie is derived from the Latin Maria (Stella Maris) which means “star of the sea.” However, of course, it is also the biblical name Mary because it is the French version of the name Mary and Maria, the holy virgin mother of Jesus.

GAZETTE (Sept. 13) – I wanted to say that I am studying the verse from the Scriptures that led me to say that I walk today by faith and not by sight. I am considering that this might be my New Year’s resolution for 2024: to walk by faith and not by sight all of this year. That is why I am studying this verse in order to draw up my blueprint on how to do this. I will say more later on, and take you on a visit down this rabbit hole with me. Why did I say this, and why am I studying this verse from 2 Corinth. 5:7?

Meanwhile.

The Assumption of Mary is the belief that the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, was taken into heaven at the end of her life, body and soul. This is the glorious fruition which began when the Lord sent the Archangel Gabriel to appear to Mary when she was a teenager.

When the Archangel Gabriel was sent to Mary by the Father, he greeted her, “Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with you” (Luke 1:28). Then, when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth who was already pregnant with John the Baptist, John lept with joy inside of Elizabeth’s womb at the approach of Jesus inside of Mary. Elizabeth exclaimed, “Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Luke 1:41-42).

The angel had said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
Luke 1:30-33

The Church affirmed the divinity of Jesus.

The Council of Ephesus, the 3rd Ecumenical Council, confirmed that the Virgin Mary was not just Christ-bearer as Nestorius, Patriarch of Constantinople, declared, but also God-bearer because Jesus was God and Christ. Thus, the council added the third sentence and created the Hail Mary prayer.

pray for us sinners,

To this day, followers of Nestorius’ declaration and many Protestants dishonor Mary and the divinity of Jesus by refusing to accept the Hail Mary prayer when prayed by such “God-bearer” believers even though the mouths of the Archangel and cousin Elizabeth declared these very words in the Holy Scriptures.

GAZETTE (March 6, 2024) — I was 9 months deep into the Civil War in my reading (in 2013) of the book LINCOLN, upon which most of the hit movie was based. President Lincoln’s Plan at that point concerning captured or run-away slaves was to ship them back to Africa or some place in a climate congenial to them.

Saints 2023 Record

I predict a 6-11 record because the nincompoop offensive coordinator keeps sticking 4th string QB Tayson Hill in at QB every 3 or 4 plays, disrupting the starting QB’s mojo. Too stupid! Otherwise, the Saints would have made the playoffs last year.

Clarence is not leaving for himself a great legacy in history. by Ferdie Werdie (June 17, 2023) — How can you say he is a credit to his race when he is tearing down everything that people fought and died for in the 1960’s? He is gutting voting rights, destroying affirmative action, turning abortion rights back to the Dark Ages. Plus, he receives questionable “political” gifts, hides under-the-table unethical dealings, has lied, etc. Clarence Thomas has turned the Supreme Court into one with ethical problems. My question is: do some of his actions taint his court rulings?

Speaking of the “MAGA crowd,” Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife works with the deplorables even though Clarence rules in the Supreme Court on many of the MAGA actions. Democrats call for new supreme court ethics rules amid Clarence Thomas’ recurring scandals… which ethics rules will be too little and way too late.

It is so unfair for Judge Thomas to pass SCOTUS judgements on the very rights and most personal freedoms of Americans’ lives. In his unethical hands are life and death judgements which will last for many decades and beyond. How unfair to Americans!
Democrats accuse the top U.S. court of the ‘lowest ethical standards’ in history, but Republicans say criticism of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Thomas is unfounded. The Republicans are evil and rotten.

Holiday Food

I will cook a batch of my cajun boudin soon, and post a picture of a new addition to my recipe. Of course, I might also write a more in-depth recipe for y’all exposing some of my secret ingredients.

In Cajun cooking, particularly that of Acadiana parish in Louisiana, boudin refers to a mixture of meat, rice, and seasonings which are then stuffed in pork casings. Pork is the most traditional meat used, but you’ll also find boudin stuffed with crawfish, alligator, or shrimp. Boiled, smoked, or grilled, boudin can be consumed virtually anywhere which makes it an easy and satisfying on-the-go meal that fisherman and hunters are especially fond of.

When it opened back up (they and Algiers Point Bar where I did some open mic nights) contacted me often to come back and perform. I was not ready to go into Corona crowds yet. They eventually stopped calling. I might start back, but I still avoid Corona crowds.

George Armstrong Custer

This is a brief allusion to George Armstrong Custer and Custer’s Last Stand. I will add more information later on from my “Last Stand” study. Sitting Bull and Custer fought at the Battle of the Little BigHorn where Custer died on June 25, 1876.

Buffalo Bill, known for his Wild West Show that featured Native American men and women, struck a partnership with Sitting Bull in 1885 when Sitting Bull performed on his show for several months. Sitting Bull in 1876 had lead his people against the U.S. government at the Battle of Little Bighorn (among other battles). The United States maintained its desire for revenge against Sitting Bull until it was successful in his death in 1890 two weeks before the Wounded Knee massacre of his tribe.

After he left Bill’s show, the two remained friends that lasted until the end of their respective lives. Sitting Bull ended up going back to his tribe after the show in support of his tribe’s Ghost Dance movement which the United States looked upon as insubordination. The U.S. ended the tribe’s Ghost Dance ceremony with a massacre of the Indians.

It might help me with reaching my goals: Ideation is not just a one-time idea generation or a brainstorming session. In fact, we can divide ideation into these three stages: generation, selection, and development.

I was happy to see singer Fats Domino get a street named after him in his home town New Orleans. He deserved it. He is one of the originators of Rock and Roll. Look how good that street name looks.

Her outfit is nice because the mask and her gym pants are both purple. Outfits where the colors match are nice.

Raquel Welch was one of the top movie stars in the 1960’s and 70’s. I do not know if she won any academy awards. However, I think that it was the type of roles that she was given. Usually, like Marilyn Monroe, the studios typically gave her roles that mostly emphasized her nice appearance instead of giving her meaty, dramatic roles.

UPDATE: In 1974, Welch won a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for The Three Musketeers.

A story by Sugar Ray (below) reminded me of one of my encounters that I remember.

GAZETTE (July 7) — I had a similar story in my repertoire to Sugar Ray’s which he tells here. My story also took place in a locker room where I checkmated a bully. Here is Sugar Ray’s story first. Sugar Ray says:

“One day, a bully, probably about six feet two, threw me against a locker at Parkdale High. I was almost knocked out cold.” (However, at 13 years old, Leonard had started training as a boxer. By 15 he was competing as an amateur boxer in the AAU’s national division.)

He said, “The old me would have searched for any peaceful way to end the mismatch. The new me fired a succession of left hooks, missing wildly. The bully began to laugh, yet each hook began coming closer and closer, until one put his butt on the ground.

“I looked down at my fists, seeing them in a whole different light. I realised they could operate outside the ring as well as they did inside. As for the bully, he never bothered me again.”

by Ferdie (New Orleans) — I also had a similar bully incident in a locker room that I settled by knocking the scumbag to the floor with a powerful combination that my cousin had taught me. Just like Sugar Ray said, “As for the bully, he never bothered me again.” NOTE: I spend most of my time to myself, enjoying TV, cooking, eating, being with loved ones. I hate bullies, crime, violence and all of the killing in the streets.

I never did become the boxer or “ninja” that my cousin is; but with what skills he taught me I successfully neutralized several hateful lowlifes whom I came across through time. Today, there is such a spirit of hate in the world that it is overwhelming.

This picture below shows how Americans spray tanned themselves in the 1940s. I think that is similar to how people do today, but now they climb inside a machine which tans them.
