Here is Ferdie years ago practicing for a show at the coffee house on his INSTRUMENT OF THE LORD. Note: this is an oldie but goodie picture. Now, I am retired.

GAZETTE (Aug. 19, 2026) — People often ask me, “Ferdie, what do you dream about? What comes up mostly in your dreams”? I tell them that often I dream about loved ones and relatives who have passed away. I often have vivid dreams where loved ones visit me in my dreams, and we have in-depth long conversations. I also have many, vivid, lively dreams about fine, lovely young ladies; some of whom I do not even know. I wake up truly feeling like I had just spent time with these ladies. I have even subsequently met some of these dream girls in real life. Unbelievable! They often look just like from my dreams. In fact, beginning over 30 years ago I used to dream about the very house that I live in now. I wrote a book in 2002 I HAVE A DREAM about living in this exact house. Who would have even imagined back then that I would now be living in this house. Out of the blue, I was offered to buy this house in 2007. It was my grandmother’s house.

Haunted Museum

I told y’all that my house is haunted. I am trying my best to move out very quickly before I meet my end in here. That is the last thing that I want. God is dealing with me b/c I have played around with hypnotism, Cosmic visions, Zen meditation, spiritual levitations (and such) since I was a teenager. Some churches forbid playing around with such things. I want to move out of my house very quickly, and then possibly turn the house into a haunted museum based on my books by Ferdinand J. Delery.

Studying Psych 101 at the University @N.O. got me interested in hypnosis. I bought some books on hypnosis, leading me to trying self hypnosis, Zen Meditation, Cosmic readings and Fast-Burst readings from the Universe. I tried my “readings” on maybe 2 or 3 friends. I hypnotized several young ladies when I was young, without them knowing it. It did not stick too long 🙂. I used hypnotism in my comedy act on stage, hypnotizing whole audiences. None of my daughters or grandchildren out of fear come inside my scary house anymore as of recently. What did I “do” to my house? I messed up something inside my house, which I wrote about in my books.

Also, many people give parties on Mardi Gras Day with plenty of good food, drinks, etc. They prefer to stay off the streets and enjoy their festivities at home. I used to enjoy the French Quarters and the many parade routes. Now-a-days, I watch the festivities on TV in my haunted house.
