DELERY GAZETTE (October 19, 2022) — Why am I afraid of the New Orleans Saints looking bad on October 20, 2022, on Thursday Night Football? I am afraid because both of their starting quarterbacks are hurt and may play subpar or be in a grand funk.

I remember when the Saints brought QB Andy Dalton in from Chicago to back up Jameis Winston. So, Winston got hurt; then, last week, Dalton hurt his back. He is scheduled to start on Thursday, but is not 100%. Plus, three of our star wide receivers are out. I will keep my fingers crossed that the SAINTS’ win.

New Orleans (Oct. 27, 2022) — Jim Mora, Andy Reed, plus many great, genius coaches emphasize to put your best quarterback in the game. Play the quarterback who gives you the best chance to win, ride with him, stop the in-and-out baloney which derails momentum. At QB you need timing and momentum. Start your best quarterback, and play him exclusively to get “timing” if you want to be a winner. Decide if Taysom Hill is a tight end, a running back, 3rd-string QB or any and all of the other positions. That is fine. However, at QB you need timing to maintain momentum. That is how the great, winningest teams did it. Let’s pull Joe Montana in-and-out all game. THAT WOULD BE STUPID! #JoeCool won 4-for-4 Super Bowls as Mr. Clutch… not with in-and-out silliness, but by staying in the heat of battle and riding with his momentum.

I want to write about the turn of the New Year celebrations and the aftermath that I have been enjoying. New Year’s Eve started out with the arrival of guests at my daughter’s house. I will write more. I have to take a few minutes to reflect on the first days of 2022 for me.

My #exWife used to cut my hair; she is very good. My daughter who lives across the lake has trimmed my hair very stylishly too; but who feels like driving across the lake just for a haircut? Plus, my #exWife would “accidentally” stab me in the head occasionally while cutting my hair; and she clips very fast and recklessly around my ears often drawing blood. No, No, No! I do not need her with any sharp instruments anywhere around my head. So, I am looking at stores and on the Internet for nice electric clippers.

The Tennessee Titans brought future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson aboard to try to fill the gap left by Derrick Henry.

The Titans waived running back Adrian Peterson and signed WR Golden Tate to the practice squad, the team announced.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that it’s possible Peterson could return.

Peterson was signed by the Titans in the wake of Derrick Henry’s foot injury, which required surgery and put him on the shelf for most of the regular season.

In three games with Tennessee, Peterson compiled 82 yards off 27 carries and scored one touchdown. The 36-year-old stands fifth on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 14,902 yards upon his release from the Titans.

GAZETTE (Sept. 11, 2022) — Why do I like old school cheesecake pictures? I like old school cheesecake because it is not gratuitous like some of the pictures today. Do you remember that they brought Bettie Page to court in the 1950’s? The government singled her out and persecuted her for her pin-up pictures which today are fine and dandy. The government persecution of Bettie eventually led her into a mental institution.

GAZETTE (June 14, 2022) — Should Opie decide for himself? Sheriff Taylor (Andy Griffith) had these words of wisdom. “You can’t let a young’n always decide for himself. I want to thank my readers and subscribers for visiting the DELERY GAZETTE to read a little bit. There are some things in the news that I want to touch upon. I will add to this article as I write my thoughts on some of those issues. I want to write about the Academy Awards which everyone is chiming in on. While I am waiting on the NFL draft on April 29 I have been watching some volley ball.

Should we tell MAGA Christians that this is the true face of Jesus, produced by computer generated synthetic intelligence — based upon information compiled about him? My question is: How accurate is the science?

Next, Seeing my high school yearbook picture (second picture below) brought back many memories. I am at the top, left in the picture. However, before going there, I will write about a funny incident about watermelons (first picture below). For my job, I was on a mission at Cape Kennedy working some last minute ‘touches” on the Space Shuttle before a launch. During our stay at Cape Canaveral, my job gave each one of us employees a condo with nice, large kitchens and refrigerators. In the meantime… (to be continued later).

Meanwhile, back to my yearbook picture for now… Once I hit college, I grew my hair longer and was like a run-away freight train on the loose. All of the many pretty girls at the U. of New Orleans drove me crazy. I heard my dad tell his friends on several occasions, “That boy better slow down with those girls before he hurts himself.” Now-a-days in the twilight years of my life, I lie down in bed at night racked with guilt. I want to say that I am sorry. It was not until I was older that I learned that you are supposed to save yourself for marriage. No one ever told me that the Church commands us to avoid pre-marital shenanigans. Who knew? I cry in bed at night sometimes wanting to say, “I am sorry…” to all of God’s sweet creatures who put their hearts into my hands.

When I was in high school I was more serious and reserved. The only thing that is the same now is my music. I changed 180 degrees after I took drama and speech electives at the U. of New Orleans. I was in some plays, and more-or-less changed. Yes, I obtained a sense of comedy.

Seeing my senior picture also reminded me that I wake up at night sometimes in a cold sweat wishing to God that I could express my sincere “mea culpas” to the women. MEA MAXIMA CULPA, as the Catholic repentance goes! Maybe in heaven I will be able to have my apologies reach the correct ears (their ears). In the Old Testament they did penance with ashes covering their brows and wearing torn garments. FORGIVE ME, WOMEN OF THE WORLD!!!… for I know not what I do!

My opinion is that James Franco looks like James Dean.

I guarantee you that James Franco could successfully play James Dean in a bio pic (if he has not already done so). I just flipped to the movie GIANT from 1956 and James Dean looks just like Franco.

Question, A RETWEET: When it comes to women, what would I prefer? A teenie bit of #romance, and a pocket full of #money; or hot romance, and my money flying out of my pockets willie-nillie? My answer…

George Armstrong Custer lost his life and everyone’s life in his battalion of the 7th Cavalry at Little Bighorn because he wanted only himself and his troops to attack Sitting Bull’s village. Why? In order to capture young Native girls for his carnal pleasure for the journey back East.

In his previous mission Custer killed everyone in the village except 17 young Native girls whom he dragged back East to rape and to share his tent during the march. All Companies of the 7th Cavalry were supposed to rendezvous at Little Bighorn before attacking, but Custer disobeyed orders because of lust for the Native girls and personal glory. Custer’s body was found with an arrow shoved up his penis which the U.S. Army did not reveal to his wife.

I even have BAMA going to the Sweet Sixteen… maybe even the Elite Eight. Some experts think that BAMA will make the Final Four. 0446 hrs. >>Everything is all messed up. I moved some files from my A6 phone, but then it looked like it shut down. Now I am moving some files to the Samsung Cloud. I do not know if I will ever see these files again. I put the chip in the computer, but it never did show up in the folder. I have to lie down for a minute because I am cold and feeling tired.

1123 hrs. >>Looks like I cleared some files to give myself some free memory on my A6 phone, Now, I will check the papers to see what games are on TV. Meeting in the championship game next week will be OHIO and ‘BAMA.

I did not remember her being 6 feet tall. She is Scottish and English. Tomorrow has several excellent football games coming. I want to take a break from writing mystery stories to write some biographical stuff.

I was born December 27, 19??. ?? is a year that I love. Numbers and how they fall have a lot to do with much that I base things on. Some of my favorite things have the number ?? intertwined in them in some way. History comes to life once you start delving into some of the things that lie on the surface. Okay, the Saints are on their way. Next Sunday will be fun. What the hell is going on out there? I am having a little bit of trouble typing because I have a bandage on my right index finger. Two Heads And Charlize

I recently said that I was going to explain “Two Heads Are Better Than One” which I said about the video below. If I had Charlize Theron living with me, I would get further along with my life and with things that need to be done. Charlize came to mind when I was trying to figure out how to explain my statement.

Okay, I hope that you are beginning to catch my drift a little. Here is another example of a person who could improve my one-headed existance with the help of an additional head to prove that two heads are better than one.

DELERY GAZETTE (April 30, 2022) — These are 2 of my granddaughters who are now in high school (L) and grammar school (r). Their sister (the middle one, Dori) is now in junior high school. She is always busy outside enjoying sports or in the back yard in the middle of a project.  Since we are in “festival season” in Louisiana, I will bring a sack of crawfish, a sack of crabs and my crawfish boiling pot and burner to their house for them to boil a delicious seafood boil for me and them.

Women who heard about my book eventually piled up on me and “flipped the script” in order to win the rubber match (like Ali’s Thrilla In Manilla, except I lost). Now that I am old, I am not driving women crazy. I stay locked up in my house, dreaming and longing for the good old days. I might write a new book before I die and maybe call it WOMEN WERE FERDIE’S DOWNFALL!

Also, I am very interested in writing about the climate in this country that Donald Trump has brought upon us. I do not know if any president has ever taken America so close to the brink. Anyway…

This lady is fine, and I have become  a big fan of hers. She might be on a series on TV presently, but I do not know the name of the show. I am waiting to see if she comes out in any movies in the near future. Her star is rising.

This is another foxy lady whom I admire. I have not seen her much on the Internet lately, but I will search to see if she retired or what. I used to see her regularly enough on the Internet. If I can find out some information on her, I will come back in and let you know. Maybe, she retired.

Oh, my God! Oh, my God! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!

I wrote an article of interest recently. It is entitled THE FIRST CHICKEN. I had promised to post it. The last thing before this that I wrote THAT LAST HURRICANE is listed on my desk under ON FERDIE’S DESK.

NOTE: Mardi Gras 2020 has passed.. I will write some good stuff about what transpired over the final 5 days of the season. Firstly, I will eat; then, I will write… maybe this evening. Lo and behold COVID-19 and the quarantine hit the country, and I decided to put a hold on writing about the Mardi Gras season for right now. This quarantine has been an experience like we have not seen. I will most likely write about that firstly.

What are people saying about the lousy Republicans’ allowing no witnesses? Just wondering! Mitch McConnell is a court-stocking, obstructionist who failed to allow Barack Obama to legally pick his Supreme Court nominee. McConnell would not even allow discussion on Obama’s nominee. McConnell is a Confederate along with his puppet, Donald Trump.

I read some words in a story about the girl below and how fine she is. Do you think she is fine? I do not think that she will see what I say here, but I think she is what you call fine as wine. That is just my opinion. Anyway, back to people’s thoughts about the dirty, lying Republicans. I am reading that many people think that the women of America will have to save us from the evil Republicans.

Yes, I have to agree that maybe the ladies will stand tall and save us. There are many female warriors in America who are trying to bring our country back to righteousness. I believe that Congress needs to bring our Presidential election system into the 21st Century by correcting the flaws in the Electoral College which often gives the presidency to a candidate who is not elected by the majority of Americans. HORRIFIC! That leaves the important decisions of the future and the stacking of the Supreme Court in the hands of the minority. This is very unfair.

The ladies of America are proving to be a powerful block of voters.
