When to Shut Up!

A thought from the past! My dad used to say:

My dad used to tell me similar words to Abraham Lincoln’s words below. He advised me that Silence is Golden when he brought me as a youngster on house calls with him where he repaired TV’s (and such) as an electrical technician.

Silence is golden:

Later in life, some of the pretty young girls who saw me when I was on-call with my dad remembered me. They looked me up once they grew up so fine and lovely. Who knew that they noticed me when I sat silently in their living room or den? Thank God that my dad had taught me to SHUT UP.

When I was a youngster:

The link below also  explains my nickname on another post. On Reply 2/2 at that post, I say to scroll down to see. NEVERMIND! Do not click the link “HOW DID I GET THE NICKNAME.” That is too much convoluted scrolling, etc. just to chase that rabbit down the rabbit hole. I just tried it again, and that is too hard  tracking behind that rabbit. DON’T DO IT. I already explained it enough right here, thank you.

A Note About Shutting Up!

Did the Supreme Court tell LADY JUSTICE (as in, the scales of American justice are equally balanced and blind) to shut up when it handed Donald Trump an illegal/unjust victory in the New York Attorney General’s case that he lost? With this current Supreme Court,  justice will never prevail when it comes to Trump. Justice does not prevail even when he loses in the lower courts.

A similar question ref: shutting up is posed about the 2 guys below:

Who are Democrats below alluding to who needs to remain silent in order to hide their foolishness? De Niro or Trump?

UPDATE: The picture disappeared from the link. I am working on correcting the link.

Meanwhile, in the picture below, I am saying a Hail Mary for intercessory prayer ref: a pickup truck for myself which I need for roof work and other things. I am reminded of when quarterback Roger Staubach prayed a Hail Mary for what became known as the Hail Mary pass to defeat Minnesota with a long bomb in the last minutes of their playoff game in the 1970’s.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee!
Arch Manning (Peyton's nephew) didn't start for Texas in 2024.

Reports had said that 2023 starter Quinn Ewers was not guaranteed the starting QB job in 2024 if he came back.

N.O. Saints’ Dilemma.

UPDATE: ⚜️ The Saints are confirmed to be sticking with Dennis Allen and Derek Carr (as expected) through at least next season, but all rumors point to New Orleans moving on from Pete Carmichael as the offensive play caller. Long overdue.

What I previously wrote: Am I the only one who sees it? It is not Derek Carr at all. It is the way the stupid coaches stick Taysom Hill in and out at QB totally disrupting Carr’s momentum. They should play Taysom like everyone else… in the conventional, professional football way. Carr (and #JameisWinston) are fine if you stop yanking them in and out for Taysom in the middle of their offensive series. It is juvenile and #bushleague.

Leave Carr alone.
How did I get my nickname Ferdie Werdie?

My grandfather Sidney Cates gave me the nickname Ferdie Werdie when I was about 5 yrs old and it has stuck ever since.

N.O. Saints’ Dilemma

GAZETTE (Sept. 26) — I told y’all that it is dangerous playing around with hypnotism trying to reach the Cosmic Portal to get spiritual readings and such. I have been trying to get readings about the Saints games for y’all.

My trying to do self-hypnosis and readings with the limited tools that I have could be dangerous to me – could even kill me. That is what I have been picking up from the fast radio bursts in the Universe while trying to put myself under.

Two occurrences have happened with me over the last two weeks that have thrown my Cosmic “mojo” completely into a spin. I have been trying to work myself out of this. We have all heard that dealing with the spiritual realm in a laissez-faire manner can be very dangerous. It could kill you or send you into insanity (or worst).

Self-hypnosis and certain meditation methods might throw you into the wrong realm. I know that y’all have heard about the Bermuda Triangle (the Devil’s Triangle). What is it? I have “seen” from Fast intermittent radio Bursts that the Bermuda Triangle is a Portal on earth to another place or places. I know where, but I want to hold that close to my vest for now.

Meanwhile, what about Saints vs. Atlanta on Sept. 29:

MY TAKE on the Saints vs. Atlanta on Sept. 29 is relative to their NFL NETWORK Week 4 Power Ranking (still in the top 10) going into this game. On the Saint’s ranking going into Week 4: with their All Pro center out and w/o bruiser Taysom Hill available to make those all-important, tough yards for the valuable 1st downs, the Saints are a different team. They need those 2 tough guys in there to remain high in the rankings.

The Hail Mary

GAZETTE (October 28, 2024) — I am praying for a smooth and peaceful Presidential election on November 5.  America does not need another insurrection like in 2020, lasting until even now. The election-steal insurrection and lies are a stain upon the legacy of America. Plus, it is criminal.

Many people prayed on Sept. 11 for intercession to the ears of God during Hurricane Francine in Louisiana. Also, we pray for the victims of Hurricane Helene in Florida along the East Coast. “Sancta Marie (Holy Mary), pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen! ” — Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee!

In the picture below, I am saying a Hail Mary (Marie in French) for intercessory prayer, including: intercessory prayers for me of praise and thanksgiving. “I thank you, Abba Father. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works; and of that, my soul knows full well.” I am reminded of when quarterback Roger Staubach prayed a Hail Mary for what became known as the famous Hail Mary pass to defeat Minnesota with a long bomb in the last minutes of their playoff game in the ’70’s.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee!

Mary is Marie in French!
In France, Marie is derived from the Latin Maria (Stella Maris) which means “star of the sea.” However, of course, it is also the biblical name Mary because it is the French version of the name Mary and Maria, the holy virgin mother of Jesus.

GAZETTE (Sept. 13) – I wanted to say that I am studying the verse from the Scriptures that led me to say that I walk today by faith and not by sight. I am considering that this might be my New Year’s resolution for 2024: to walk by faith and not by sight all of this year. That is why I am studying this verse in order to draw up my blueprint on how to do this. I will say more later on, and take you on a visit down this rabbit hole with me. Why did I say this, and why am I studying this verse from 2 Corinth. 5:7?

Meanwhile.

The Assumption of Mary is the belief that the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, was taken into heaven at the end of her life, body and soul. This is the glorious fruition which began when the Lord sent the Archangel Gabriel to appear to Mary when she was a teenager.

When the Archangel Gabriel was sent to Mary by the Father, he greeted her, “Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with you” (Luke 1:28). Then, when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth who was already pregnant with John the Baptist, John lept with joy inside of Elizabeth’s womb at the approach of Jesus inside of Mary. Elizabeth exclaimed, “Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Luke 1:41-42).

The angel had said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
Luke 1:30-33

The Church affirmed the divinity of Jesus.

The Council of Ephesus, the 3rd Ecumenical Council, confirmed that the Virgin Mary was not just Christ-bearer as Nestorius, Patriarch of Constantinople, declared, but also God-bearer because Jesus was God and Christ. Thus, the council added the third sentence and created the Hail Mary prayer.

The Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

To this day, followers of Nestorius’ declaration and many Protestants dishonor Mary and the divinity of Jesus by refusing to accept the Hail Mary prayer when prayed by such “God-bearer” believers even though the mouths of the Archangel and cousin Elizabeth declared these very words in the Holy Scriptures.

John Brown Hanged

Abolitionist John Brown was executed on charges of treason, murder and insurrection on December 2, 1859, only 6 weeks after his arrest and October raid on Harper’s Ferry to free the slaves. Oh My, how times have changed with respect to speedy justice! The song below highlights for history the effects of Brown’s raid on Harper’s Ferry.

John Brown hanged on Dec. 2, 1959.

John Brown said that his punishment of death by hanging was unjust because he didn’t murder anyone and was being treated like he did.

Christ shall the Liberator be.
I love verse 4 of the song.

Verse IV.

John Brown was John the Baptist, of the Christ we are to see — Christ, who of the bondman shall the Liberator be; and soon throughout the sunny South, the slaves shall all be free. For his soul is marching on; Glory, etc.

Christ, Liberator of the bound man.

Ship Back to Africa

Coming soon! I will explain how Donald Trump "packed" the Supreme Court in order to begin his rise as dictator.

GAZETTE (March 6, 2024) — I was 9 months deep into the Civil War in my reading (in 2013) of the book LINCOLN, upon which most of the hit movie was based. President Lincoln’s Plan at that point concerning captured or run-away slaves was to ship them back to Africa or some place in a climate congenial to them.

Frederick Douglas said what?

This is what freedman Frederick Douglas intuitively said about Lincoln’s Colonization plan: “The president does not understand that the black man is an American with no desire to live elsewhere. His attachment to the place of his birth is stronger than iron.”

Furthermore, since the beginning of the war, Douglas avowed that nothing would terrify the South like the vision of thousands of former slaves wielding weapons on behalf of the Union Army.” He continued, “The very fact of color in this case would be more terrible than powder and balls,” and that the survival of the nation depended upon enlisting the “slaves and free colored people into the army. We are striking the rebels with our soft white hand, when we should be striking with the iron hand of the black man, which we keep chained behind us. We have been catching slaves instead of arming them.”

Chapter 3

The Big Hole

This is a preview of a chapter from my pending book.

by Ferdie Delery

It just dawned on me. Voila! I never knew! A big part of my psyche (ever since I was 21 years old) has been a deep, inner sense inside me of being a cast out. Why? Now I know. I don’t need “no” therapist. I can blame it on two music albums that I guess even my brothers and sisters remember. Which I will explain here.

For Christmas break from school in Baton Rouge in 1971 at LSU, I packed up my things and drove back to New Orleans to my mom and dad’s house. I walked into the house to the den with my bags and a big smile, sending my dad into a state of conniption. He and I have never, ever been the same loving father-son combo again. I quit LSU and Baton Rouge. Of course, I already had my B.A. from The U. of New Orleans. For Christmas break, I had cleared my LSU dorm out, moved the f*** out and was back in the arms of my loving parents. Good God Almighty! My dad surely thought that he had gotten rid of me. No! Ferdie’s back!

I will explain more, but let’s fast forward for now to after the holidays when no one but me and my mom were left in the house alone during the day. My dad was at work and my brothers and sisters were at school. The major malfunction was that I brought back home with me from Baton Rouge two popular albums at that time. They were MERCY, MERCY ME by Marvin Gaye and the sound track of the movie SHAFT by Isaac Hayes starring Richard Roundtree. I loved the albums and played them unmercifully every day from morning until my dad got back home from work.

The relentless music drove my mom to distraction. One day, I got home from out and my dad had broken up my record player and albums; he turned into the monster of Frankenstein. By the next day, I had scoured the newspapers and found myself a lovely little apartment for $65.00 per month. Remember the times I was in back then with reference to the rent amount. Anyway, my psychic health and well-being have never been the same since. That despicable “son-of-a-gun”!

(To be continued). Of course, I will write more of this chapter later. Thank you!

Saints 2023 Record

Gazette (May 2023) — See the link below where AI predicts that the SAINTS will have an 11-6 record. I predict a 6-11 record because the nincompoop offensive coordinator keeps sticking 4th string QB Tayson Hill in at QB every 3 or 4 plays, disrupting the starting QB’s mojo. Too stupid! Otherwise, the Saints would have made the playoffs last year.

AI predicts the 2023 records of all teams at this link:

https://thesportsdrop.com/cl/predicting-every-nfl-teams-win-loss-record-in-2023?utm_source=JL_Facebook&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=JL_Schedule_ALL4a_FB_PM10&fbclid=IwAR30cfTE0HB0ccr16WTapkH5sbwqbQCreoFkrUY22bzBGDvW1GM7AUE6zGg_aem_th_AXB3gANHQTj1KzRdxlX7rO_5bxmpau1pPYpZzB4G2VJIesoVtB4jCfxZ-vwK35wPm6jeRK1UblsiPxBIyDJRfw3e

I do not think so.

With AI help, these predictions have the SAINTS in rarefied air at 11-6 this season. I personally still doubt the Saints’ offensive-coaching brain power. The team’s talent could win the Super Bowl, but the Saints’ offensive scheme is feeble-minded. I see a 6-11 record. Geaux #7 Taysom Hill at QB, TE, RB, punt-k/o returner, wide receiver, offensive in-and-outer who could help power-run the Saints to the Super Bowl if he were played correctly. SURELY NOT IN-AND-OUT AT QUARTERBACK! To keep putting Taysom (4th string QB) in-and-out last year when Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston were the field generals is as bone-headed as I have seen in professional football.

What do the experts say about the Saints' coaching?
Meanwhile, for me... WOMEN? WOMEN! WOMEN!

This is how I look snagging a fine woman.

Clarence Thomas

Clarence is not leaving for himself a great legacy in history. by Ferdie Werdie (June 17, 2023) — How can you say he is a credit to his race when he is tearing down everything that people fought and died for in the 1960’s? He is gutting voting rights, destroying affirmative action, turning abortion rights back to the Dark Ages. Plus, he receives questionable “political” gifts, hides under-the-table unethical dealings, has lied, etc. Clarence Thomas has turned the Supreme Court into one with ethical problems. My question is: do some of his actions taint his court rulings?

Uncle Clarence

Speaking of the “MAGA crowd,” Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife works with the deplorables even though Clarence rules in the Supreme Court on many of the MAGA actions. Democrats call for new supreme court ethics rules amid Clarence Thomas’ recurring scandals… which ethics rules will be too little and way too late.

It is so unfair for Judge Thomas to pass SCOTUS judgements on the very rights and most personal freedoms of Americans’ lives. In his unethical hands are life and death judgements which will last for many decades and beyond. How unfair to Americans!
Democrats accuse the top U.S. court of the ‘lowest ethical standards’ in history, but Republicans say criticism of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Thomas is unfounded. The Republicans are evil and rotten.

Democrats clamor for ethics rules.
Amen to that...

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Holiday Food

I will cook a batch of my cajun boudin soon, and post a picture of a new addition to my recipe. Of course, I might also write a more in-depth recipe for y’all exposing some of my secret ingredients.

In Cajun cooking, particularly that of Acadiana parish in Louisiana, boudin refers to a mixture of meat, rice, and seasonings which are then stuffed in pork casings. Pork is the most traditional meat used, but you’ll also find boudin stuffed with crawfish, alligator, or shrimp. Boiled, smoked, or grilled, boudin can be consumed virtually anywhere which makes it an easy and satisfying on-the-go meal that fisherman and hunters are especially fond of.

I am thinking about the SAINTS.

Okay, the Saints are resting now since I wrote the below meme. However, I am beginning to read about the Saints again, but we all know that they are going to lose ignominiously this coming season if they continue their offense with the same juvenile game plan as last season… #woeisme!

…unless they play one QB at a time. Then, I will like them again.

NOTE: By the way, See below what I think about the New Orleans SAINTS’ game plan under the current coaches.

The Baton Rouge Advocate bought the New Orleans Times-Picayune and now we get LSU on the front page of the sports every day, and relegate Saints, Pels, Tulane to page four or further back in the newspaper. Even Jesus Christ held music “upon high” in his ministry, and sang hymns when he met with his followers. Jesus’ music tradition is still carried on today in most religions which hold music up in a high place. The Scriptures say that the Lord lives in our praises. Godly, spiritual music is praise.

This picture below is scientists’ rendition of how Jesus looked (using scientific and DNA methods). This is the picture of Jesus that they portray.

GAZETTE (New Orleans) — This picture below of Mrs. Thomas is somewhat mean-spirited. Mrs. Clarence Thomas is a lovely lady. It is her politics and sway on Clarence’s SCOTUS decisions that people do not like.

Ginni Thomas

This is a younger picture (below) of Ginni Thomas which shows how lovely she was.

Many people wonder if Donald Trump will suffer any consequences for his insurrection crimes on January 6th. He wants to announce early for the 2024 Presidential race in order to protect himself from prosecution. His thinking is that no charges will be brought against him while he is campaigning.

Meanwhile, I would like to perform my act and music again.

by FERDIE (July 4) — My stand-up comedy and music career might be over. The Corona virus shut the doors of the coffee house at which I performed for a number of years. When it opened back up (they and Algiers Point Bar where I did some open mic nights) contacted me often to come back and perform. I was not ready to go into Corona crowds yet. They eventually stopped calling. I might start back, but I still avoid Corona crowds.

George Armstrong Custer

This is a brief allusion to George Armstrong Custer and Custer’s Last Stand. I will add more information later on from my “Last Stand” study. Sitting Bull and Custer fought at the Battle of the Little BigHorn where Custer died on June 25, 1876.

Custer's Last Stand.

Sitting Bull poses below with Buffalo Bill, 1885

Buffalo Bill, known for his Wild West Show that featured Native American men and women, struck a partnership with Sitting Bull in 1885 when Sitting Bull performed on his show for several months. Sitting Bull in 1876 had lead his people against the U.S. government at the Battle of Little Bighorn (among other battles). The United States maintained its desire for revenge against Sitting Bull until it was successful in his death in 1890 two weeks before the Wounded Knee massacre of his tribe.

Sitting Bull and Wild Bill

After he left Bill’s show, the two remained friends that lasted until the end of their respective lives. Sitting Bull ended up going back to his tribe after the show in support of his tribe’s Ghost Dance movement which the United States looked upon as insubordination. The U.S. ended the tribe’s Ghost Dance ceremony with a massacre of the Indians.

‘Pretty Nose’ sits here for her portrait in 1879

A photographer captured this image of Pretty Nose at Fort Keogh, Montana, in 1879. She was a member of the Arapaho tribe and was a war chief who took part in the Battle of Little Bighorn.

Pretty Nose

There are those who stated that she was a member of the Cheyenne tribe, but what she wore identified her as Arapaho, thanks to the black, red, and white cuffs adorning her. She lived well into old age, so much so that she was able to see her grandson, Mark Soldier Wolf, become an elder of the Arapaho tribe.

Then, more about Custer!

Where was Custer's Last Stand?

The Battle of the Little Bighorn was fought along the ridges, steep bluffs, and ravines of the Little Bighorn River, in south-central Montana on June 25-26, 1876. The Native combatants were warriors of the Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes, battling men of the 7th Regiment of the US Cavalry, along with their Crow, and Arikara scouts.

Some girls survived the U.S. army massacres of that period.
