GAZETTE (New Orleans) — I recently read some local New Orleans history about Mayor Victor H. Schiro which I found to be very interesting. Schiro was mayor of New Orleans from 1961 to 1970, and raised some feathers during his term. Click the link to see what I discovered:

Capt. John Brown In 1859

Ferdie Werdie (New Orleans) — In October of 1859, American abolitionist Captain John Brown attempted to initiate a slave revolt in Southern states by raiding an armory in Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now West Virginia). The raid is frequently cited as one of the primary causes of the American Civil War.

One of John Brown’s captured men at Harpers Ferry U.S. Armory “ratted” on civil rights reformer Frederick Douglass implicating him in the planning stages of the raid. Some people and historians have questioned the veracity of the depth of  Douglass’ connection to the raid. They say that he declined John Brown’s overtures.

Poor ol’ Frederick Douglass had to flee from America in 1859 to avoid the gallows with abolitionist John Brown.

Douglass eventually caught a boat, further escaping to England.                         

Now, 166 years later, the struggle continues in earnest. OH MY GOD!!!

GAZETTE (2020) — Donald Trump likes to grab ’em by the bleep. Well, look at what happened on election day 2020…

I thought about canceling my Twitter account if they had kept letting Donald “Dummy” Trump tweet all of those lies and baloney. Cut Trump’s account off! His lies are not healthy for the country. Also, please tie up Rudy Giuliani by his family jewels. I am sick of looking at his ugly face too. UPDATE: Since I wrote this about the 2020 election, Rudy Giuliani has been derailed and sidelined. However, after we asked if the Orange Menace was gone after the Nov 5 election, the answer is a resounding no. He came back like a bad cancer, winning back the White House in 2025.
