I was born in Cajun Country. I am looking right now for the map that showed me this. VOILA! Here it is. Cajun Country is highlighted in gold. Yes, I was solidly born in Cajun Country.

UPDATE: I am studying the truth of whether the phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword” is a proven fact. With all of the current deaths (including many children) in Iran caused by U.S. strikes, I wonder if the old saying about the pen is accurate.

GAZETTE (March 10, 2026) — I will explain (№1) why I posted this picture, and (№2) the results of my study of whether or not the pen is mightier than the sword. Pen Mightier Than Sword

Again, I just had to mention that I recently saw in a Popeye cartoon on TV that the show had a diverse cast. See a minority in the picture in the bottom row, left. Back in those early years, there usually was no effort made to throw a minority in the mix.

Then, I wanted to say that one of my favorite foods is soft shell crab.
